Tango to appeal ILR's mobile termination rate decision

Sunday 2 March 2014 | 21:32 CET | News
Telecom operator Tango Luxembourg has decided to appeal against a January market analysis decision by regulator ILR which set a symmetrical mobile termination rate of EUR 0.98 per minute until it finalises pure bottom-up long run incremental cost (LRIC) cost model. Belgacom explains in its 2014 results that the rate was previously EUR 0.082 for Post (formerly EPT) and Tango, and EUR 0.105 for Orange Luxembourg. Tango calculates that the impact of the lower termination rate in the consumer segment will cost it an estimated EUR 10 million of revenue and EUR 5 million of EBITDA.
