Tanzania telecom firms to re-register Sim cards

Tanzania Communication Regulatory Authority (TCRA) has directed mobile operators to re-register all Sim cards from 01 May. Operators Vodacom Tanzania, Halotel, Tigo, Airtel, Tanzania Telecommunication Company (TTCL), Smile and Zantel are required to re-register their Sim cards through biometric process (fingerprints).
