Tanzanian govt reviews mobile levy

Tanzania's minister for finance and planning, Mwigulu Nchemba, says the government is reviewing the mobile transaction levy regulations to resolve shortcomings in the implementation of the 2021 Financial Act, The Daily News reported. Nchemba said that the ministries of finance and ICT have received directives from the President and will meet the Prime Minister to discuss the matter. He said the government has heard the grievances and the ministries have already started working on them.
