Tanzania's Azam Media secures licences to air local free-to-air TV channels

Tanzania's Azam Media has received an operator licence that will allow it to broadcast local channels. According to Azam Media CEO Tido Mhando, the free to air (FTA) channels will be back on Azam decoders. As soon as they return, viewers will be able to watch them even after expiry of their subscription fees, but the pay-TV channels will disappear.
