TCL Electronics buys TCL Communications, to develop more smart devices, smart home services

TCL Communications will be integrated into TCL Electronics after shareholders at Electronics gave their approval for the acquisition during an EGM called on 28 July. TCL Electronics announced its intention to acquire TCL Communication, part of TCL Industries Holdings, late last month, saying it would pay CNY 1.5 billion in cash. TCL Electronics also said it would sell its full stake in Moka International, mainly engaged in ODM business for TVs, to TCL Industries for CNY 2.5 billion in cash.
