TCRA fines five mobile firms for breaching QoS rules

The Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA) has fined five mobile phone companies a total of TZS 122.5 million for violating Electronic and Postal Communications (Quality of Service) Regulations of 2011. TCRA director general Ally Simba named Vodacom Tanzania (TZS 27.5 million), Tigo (TZS25 million), Zantel (TZS 25 million), Airtel Tanzania (TZS 22.5 million) and Benson Infomatics (TZS 12.5 million).
