TDC gives business broadband customers mobile back-up

Thursday 1 October 2015 | 11:57 CET | News
Danish operator TDC said it is to provide its corporate customers with extra broadband reliability by installing a mobile back-up connection in its routers in future. Jens Munch-Hansen, head of TDC Erhverv, said even a few minutes' down-time, such as a shop terminal not working, can hit businesses. The new routers will come with an in-built TDC SIM card and wireless modem. The router will switch automatically to mobile connectivity if, for example, a cable gets dug up.
