TDC says wet weekend pushes Blockbuster rentals to record

Thursday 30 July 2015 | 11:46 CET | News
TDC said its Blockbuster video rental arm had a record weekend from 25-27 July, thanks to the heavy rainfall that kept people indoors. On 25 July, when 32 millimetres of rain fell on Denmark, Blockbuster saw a record number of film rentals for a single day. Hires were 29 percent above the previous record, set on 19 July when there was 8 mm of rain. On 27 July, the record for a Monday was beaten by 36 percent. Easter Monday is normally the peak Monday for movie viewing.
