TDF's SmartJog acquires Yacast Media

French broadcast transmission services group TDF's SmartJog subsidiary discretely acquired French internet TV and radio server hosting start-up Yacast Media for an undisclosed amount. Yacast's clients will be able to progressively migrate to SmartJog's content delivery network (CDN) and to benefit from a distributed network architecture at around 20 points of presence in France and Eureope. Yacast started out by keeping track of content aired on radio and TV and then also moved into traffic optimisation to meet customer demand. The 10-employee business operates its own servers to deliver
