TDS starts capping internet at 250 GB a month

Wednesday 18 May 2016 | 11:30 CET | News
Telephone and Data Systems (TDS) has started informing some customers that it will cap their service to 250 GB a month unless they add usage before 01 June, according to consumer advocacy website Stop the Cap! The operator is warning its subscribers in advance, based on their current usage behaviour, and still allows them to enjoy unlimited internet use at night. What TDS's letter does not do, however, is justify the cap. TDS customers can pay an extra USD 10 a month for 500 GB, USD 20 for 750 GB or USD 30 for 1 TB.
