TEAMS cable to be taken down for 2 weeks maintenance

Monday 31 December 2012 | 11:46 CET | News
The East Africa Marine Systems (TEAMS) cable will be down for protection reinforcement work between 3-15 January, reports Kenyan publication CIO East Africa. The preventative maintenance work is designed to reduce cable damage by ships following cable cuts experienced earlier this year at Mombasa. Customers are expected to experience slower internet speeds due to limited traffic restoration through other cables. Work will continue for an estimated six to eight weeks.
