Tech Mahindra, OU, Milton Keynes launch smart city project

Indian IT company Tech Mahindra has signed a Smart Cities research agreement with the Open University (OU) and the town council of Milton Keynes, UK. The GBP 16 million MK:Smart project will focus on energy, transportation, electric vehicles, connected ecosystems and the Internet of Things. The partners will pool their talents and experience to develop bids for private and public sector opportunities in these areas over the next five years. It is estimated that the Smart Cities revolution could add 2,600 jobs a year in Milton Keynes alone. Tech Mahindra has been present in the town for over
