Technicolor ships over 8.1 mln Docsis 3.1 CPE units in 2020

The Connected Home division of Technicolor said that demand for its Docsis 3.1 equipment exceeded expectations in 2020, with 8.1 million shipments across the year. This brings to 20 million the number of units shipped by the company worldwide in the 2017-2020 period. Commenting on the outlook for 2021, Technicolor highlighted that adoption of Docsis 3.1 CPE (customer premises equipment) will be given a boost by models integrating the improved capabilities of the Wi-Fi 6 standard.
