Tele Columbus moves AGM to 29 August to give time for deal with United Internet over board nominees

Thursday 13 June 2019 | 11:03 CET | News

German cable network operator Tele Columbus said it has rescheduled its annual general meeting to 29 August from 21 June. The decision was taken to give time to reach a compromise with United Internet over the nomination of supervisory board members.

The supervisory board election will be one of the points at the top of the agenda at the AGM. The current supervisory board of Tele Columbus has proposed six independent candidates for election. United Internet, which is the largest shareholder in Tele Columbus with a 29.9 percent stake, has made a counter proposal with its own candidates. Tele Columbus said that it is ready to expand its number of members from six to nine, in order to give United Internet the opportunity to present three candidates.
