Tele Columbus to expand fibre network in city of Halle

German cable operator Tele Columbus said that its subsidiary HL komm Telekommunikations, trading under the Pyur Business brand, will expand the fibre-optic network in the city of Halle in Saxony-Anhalt. The company will lay fibre in areas of the city that do not yet have sufficient access to fast internet. The city of Halle received funding from the European Union and the state of Saxony-Anhalt totalling EUR 10.5 million to start the project, which will run until mid-2022.
