Tele Greenland mulls cable extension after wireless outage

Tele-Post Greenland says a submarine cable further up the west coast could provide an alternative route for traffic if the wireless network breaks down again, Greenlandic broadcaster KNR reported on its website. From 05 June to 07 June, a defect at the DYE One relay station hit telecommunications in Sisimiut and Kangerlussuaq. The towns' branches of retail chain Pilersuisoq and many airport stores had to take cash or credit during this period.
