Tele Greenland says diesel generator break-down hits Upernavik antenna station

Tele-Post Greenland said Upernavik and the surrounding area would be getting their telecommunications services via satellite for two to four days from 14 December, as the operator would be switching off the DSL and 4G lines following the loss of fuel to an antenna station. It said the diesel generator on the top of Kigataq stopped functioning on 13 December and that back-up power to the new station was draining faster than expected.
