Tele Greenland warns of solar interference with satellite reception

Wednesday 27 February 2019 | 13:18 CET | News
Tele-Post Greenland said that solar interference is likely to disrupt satellite reception in the period 18 February to 06 March, which could make services unstable for periods of ten minutes in some places and up to an hour in others between 11:00 hrs and 13.00 hrs. It said this is normal at this time of year, when the ground station is aligned with the sun and so the sun's radiation overpowers the satellite's signals.
