Tele2 Kazakhstan posts Q4 loss on forex effects

Salesof the mobile operator Tele2 Kazakhstan grew by 35 percent year-on-year to SEK 383 million in the fourth quarter of 2015, after adjusting for exchange rate fluctuations. The operator added 38,000 new customers in the quarter, less than the 205,000 a year earlier, for a total of 4.400 million at the end of 2015. Mobile service revenue decreased by 10 percent, impacted by the currency devaluation, and amounted to SEK 253 million. Excluding the currency fluctuation, mobile service revenue grew 25 percent as a result of the increased customer base.
