Tele2 Russia plans LTE services in Crimea in June

Mobile operator Tele2 Russia plans to launch LTE services in the Crimea region, reports Comnews.ru. The first base stations will be deployed there by 12 June. The operator plans to provide LTE over the 900 MHz band in the cities of Sebastopol and Simferopol. The Russian federal telecommunications regulator announced that it won't require additional licences for mobile activities in the region for operators holding federal licences.

It's funny to see how far these April fools jokes can reach, check the date guys. I severely doubt any European companies would risk their image by taking advantage of this sensitive political situation!!
