Tele2 Sweden raises female recruitment rate to 66% in first 4 months from 35% in FY 2018

Tele2 Sweden said it began a long-term project in January to improve equality and diversity in its recruitment, aiming for a balance between the sexes on its workforce by 2023 at the latest. Tele2 began working with the organisations Data Girls and Girls Code, and began the 2+1 principle, aiming to hire two women for every man in male-dominated areas. In the first four months of 2019, 66 percent of new employees were women, compared with 35 percent for the whole of 2018.
