Telecel Zimbabwe aims to clear licensing arrears by 2020

Telecel Zimbabwe says its now targeting to clear its licensing obligations of USD 137.5 million to the government by 2020, reports the Chronicle. In 2013, the mobile operator made an arrangement with the Postal Regulatory Authority (Potraz) to pay off its fees in instalments, after the Potraz had sought to cancel its licence. However, Telecel missed its payment plans last year and in 2017, and now owes an outstanding USD 93.5 million.
