Telecom Argentina 9-mth revenue up 22%, clients fall 4%

Telecom Argentina reported revenues up 21.8 percent year on year to ARS 47.3 billion in the 9 months to September, with service revenues rising 26.7 percent to ARS 46.6 billion thanks above all to higher ARPU in both the mobile and fixed segment. Net profit more than doubled year on year to ARS 5.6 billion compared to ARS 2.5 billion in the year-earlier period, due in part to the strengthening of the peso against the dollar, while EBITDA climbed 39.5 percent to ARS 14.2 billion. However, Capex in the 9-month period came to ARS 6.6 billion, down 13.8 percent year on year and equivalent to 14.0
