Telecom Italia (TIM) has begun offering its high-speed fibre-optic broadband service in the town of Cento in the Ferrara province. The operator connected 45 street cabinets to bring fibre-optic services at speeds of up to 100 Mbps to around 5,000 households, equivalent to 54 percent of the local population. Customers will be able to access the operator's new fibre-based TIM Smart Fibra offer, costing EUR 29 per month for the first year and EUR 39 thereafter for new customers.
