Telecom Italia activates FTTC service in Lamezia Terme

Telecom Italia has begun offering a high-speed fibre-optic broadband service in the city of Lamezia Terme in the southern Calabria region. The service, based on FTTC technology, has been extended to 2,500 households and Telecom Italia hopes to connect over 70 percent of the local population by the end of the year. Customers will be able to access the internet at speeds of at least 30 Mbps, increasing to up to 100 Mbps in the future. The operator's fibre optic services are currently available at the promotional rates of EUR 29 per month for consumers and EUR 35 for businesses for the first 6
