Telecom Italia (TIM) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with New York-based fibre-optic cables manufacturer Corning to explore new developments in the field of fibre and 5G network technologies. The partners said they intend to work closely on the evolution of infrastructure and broadband customer network platforms to better support IoT and 5G requirements as the technologies grow.
