Telecom Italia expands fibre network to Civitanova Marche

Monday 24 August 2015 | 08:30 CET | News
Telecom Italia (TIM) has begun offering a high-speed fibre-optic broadband service in the town of Civitanova Marche in the central Marche region. The service has already been activated in around 11,000 households, some 63 percent of the population via the connection of 58 street cabinets, with the operator aiming to extend the coverage to around 66 percent of the local population by the end of the year. Customers in the connected areas will be able to access the internet at speeds of at least 50 Mbps, potentially increasing to up to 100 Mbps in the future.
