Telecom Italia open to utilities' involvement in broadband

Telecom Italia welcomes the increased competition in the broadband sector that could result from the proposed involvement of utility companies such as Enel, A2A, Hera, Iren and Acea, according to chairman Giuseppe Recchi. "I read in the papers that many utilities are looking to find synergies for the development of the network, something we consider highly favourable," said Recchi at the sidelines of an event in Milan, according to Reuters.
