Telecom Italia rolls out FTTC in Vigevano

Thursday 19 March 2015 | 09:56 CET | News
Telecom Italia announced the launch of its FTTC service in Vigevano. The operator is investing around EUR 2 million to upgrade 109 street cabinets serving 21,000 homes and businesses, equal to 86 percent of the local population. By the end of this year, coverage should reach 95 percent of residents. Customers can already receive broadband at up to 30 Mbps, and speeds will increase to up to 50 Mbps in April. The operator's mobile arm TIM also covers 98 percent of the city with its 4G network.
