Telecom Italia, Vodafone share mobile network access sites

Telecom Italia and Vodafone Italia have signed an agreement to share mobile network access sites. The agreement covers existing sites and sites soon to be built. It relates to so-called 'passive' infrastructure: poles, cables, electrical and air-conditioning fixtures, plus other civil infrastructure. This agreement renews and widens the content of an earlier agreement. With it, the operators are implementing guidance contained in the Electronic Communications Law relating to the more efficient use of network infrastructure in both urban and rural areas.
