Telecom Namibia's new CEO mulls network upgrades, potential infrastructure sharing to boost quality

Telecom Namibia's newly appointed CEO Stanley Shanapinda intends to use the parastatal organisation's footprint to become a leading telecommunications institution, NewEra reported. Shanapinda said it is busy studying the market in terms of locations where it has no towers, with a focus on rural areas where customers may be on a 2G network, and in terms of encouraging customers to use faster services. Shanapinda explained that Telecom Namibia is looking into installations and conversions from 2G to 3G as a way to improve services.
