Telecom regulator wins fine dispute with Rostelecom

The St Petersburg 13th Arbitrage Appeal Court has rejected an appeal from Russian national operator Rostelecom in its legal dispute with federal telecom regulator Roskomnadzor. The dispute was related to the RUB 30,000 fine which was imposed on the national operator by a lower-tier court, based of the decision from the Irkutsk regional branch of the watchdog. The operator was fined for improper providing of mandatory public telecommunications services in the Irkutsk region.
