Telecoms account for 16% of consumer complaints

UK consumers made 52 million complaints about products and services in 2015, according to new research from Ombudsman Services. Telecommunications was the second most complained about sector, accounting for 16 percent of the total or 8.3 million complaints. Despite various sectors having their own ombudsmen to handle complaints, 1 in 20 consumers (6%) did not realise there was an alternative to court action available.
