Telefonica-backed startup We-Techs gets USD 2 mln funding

Telefonica Chile has announced that Internet of Things startup We-Techs has raised USD 2 million in Series A funding from HCS Capital Partners, a Miami-based private equity firm. The industrial IoT startup specialises in technology for the remote operation and monitoring of natural gas, water treatment and mining plants, among others, and will use the funding to expand its international presence. The company was founded 5 years ago and has been accelerated by Telefonica's Wayra Chile startup incubator.
