Telefonica Brasil revenue growth slows to 0.6% in Q1

Telefonica Brasil reported 0.6 percent growth in net revenue for the first quarter of 2016 to BRL 10.43 billion, as growth slowed due to the weaker economy. Service revenue was up 1.0 percent year-on-year to BRL 10.13 billion, including 0.4 percent growth in mobile and 2.0 percent growth in fixed. Device sales were down 10.9 percent o BRL 301.7 million. Operational costs fell 9.0 percent to BRL 6.64 billion, helping EBITDA grow 23.8 percent to BRL 3.79 billion, and the EBITDA margin increase 6.8 percentage points to 36.3 percent.
