Telefonica CentAm customers up 11% to 13.2 mln

Telefonica announced that its Central American operations posted an 11.2 percent year-on-year rise in accesses to 13.16 million at the end of the second quarter. Mobile customers were up 11.6 percent to 12.58 million, with the fixed customer base rising 5.6 percent to 355,000. Regional revenues were up 3.2 percent at constant currency rates to EUR 220 million in the April-June period, with the regional OIBDA improving by 6.0 percentage points to EUR 57 million and the OIBDA margin coming in at 25.9 percent, 0.6 percentage points higher than Q2 2015.
