Telefonica Chile revenues down on forex, customers up 2%

Telefonica Chile reported first-quarter revenues down 16.3 percent from a year earlier to EUR 525 million, above all due to negative exchange rate effects and January's reduction in mobile termination rates. The operator pointed out that excluding the forex effects and regulatory impact revenues would have increased by 7.2 percent in the quarter. OIBDA was EUR 167 million in the quarter, down 17.8 percent on last year's figure of EUR 203 million, while OIBDA margin came in at 31.8 percent, down 0.6 percent from the year-earlier period.  The operator increased capital expenditure by 40.9
