Telefonica converts Valencia into first '100% smart city'

Telefonica has announced that Valencia has been converted into Spain's first fully-connected smart city via the implementation of a comprehensive technological management platform designed to monitor all of the city's public resources. The Spanish company was awarded the contract to set up Valencia's smart city platform, dubbed VLCi, back in May, and Telefonica director for Valencia, Murcia and the Balearics, Kim Faura, presented the details of the project together with the city's mayor Rita Barbera.
