Telefonica CR Q1 revenues down 9.6 percent

Telefonica Czech Republic reported first-quarter operating revenues of CZK 10.764 billion, down 9.6 percent year-on-year. Fixed revenues in the Czech Republic reached CZK 4.763 billion, down 5.2 percent year-on-year, but the rate of decline slowed compared to the previous quarter. Mobile revenues in the Czech Republic were CZK 4.713 billion, a 16.7-percent year-on-year decline, largely driven by MTR cuts and intensified competition driving a drop in traditional voice and messaging revenues. The company nevertheless continues to benefit from its data-centric proposition, with non-messaging
