Telefonica Czech Republic FY revenues down 6.5 percent

Wednesday 26 February 2014 | 10:42 CET | News
Telefonica Czech Republic says its number of customers increased by 132,000 (0.4 percent) to 5.1 million in 2013. The year-on-year decrease in the pre-paid customer base of 1.3 percent to 1.891 million was partly compensated for by the switch to one of the Free series tariffs, launched in April 2013, which includes unlimited SMS and calls. The contract customer base increased by 158,000 (1.4 percent) to 3.235 million. Total operating revenues in 2013 decreased 6.5 percent to CZK 47.252 billion. Excluding the effects of the reduction in mobile termination rates, the decrease was 2.7 percent.
