Telefonica, Ericsson conduct first Peruvian 5G tests in Trujillo

Telefonica Peru has conducted what it describes as the first trials of 5G technology in the country in partnership with Ericsson. The tests focused on education and health use cases to highlight the potential of the next generation of networks, above all interruption-free connection and increased response time due to reduced latency of less than 5 milliseconds, said the operator in a statement.
