Telefonica fined EUR 50,000 for wholesale breach

Telefonica has been fined EUR 50,000 by communications regulator CNMC for a partial breach of wholesale regulations, namely the Reference Interconnection Offer (OIR). The company was accused by the operator Premium Numbers of failing to issue detailed OIR certificates regarding unpaid premium rate services. Telefonica has been given a two-month term to appeal against the CNMC's decision.
