Telefonica German calls for extension of rights to use 800 MHz bands until 2033

Tuesday 12 October 2021 | 09:26 CET | News
Telefonica Germany is urging an extension of use of 800 MHz spectrum until 2033, when frequencies below 700 MHz may become available for mobile communications, creating leeway to distribute wavelengths among all the network operators. The operator has also called for an extension of rights for the1.8 GHz and 2.6 GHz bands. Rights to use frequencies in the 800 MHz, 1.8 GHz and 2.6 GHz bands expire in 2025.
