Telefonica Germany accelerates 3G switchover to 4G

Telefonica Germany said it is accelerating the switch from 3G to 4G. The company will switch off 4,500 3G sites in August and September on the coast of the North Sea and Baltic Sea, in Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia, and in parts of Baden-Wuerttemberg. It will switch off a further 2,500 3G sites in mid-September, including sites in Brandenburg (Maerkisch-Oderland) and North Rhine-Westphalia (Muensterland, Sauerland and Bergisches Land).
