Telefonica Germany appoints new CTO

Telefonica Germany has announced the appointment of Cayetano Carbajo as chief technology officer (CTO) with effect from 01 February 2013. He will replace Andrew Folgueiras, who is leaving to become the new CTO at Telefonica Brazil. Carbajo will have responsibility for network technology at Telefonica Germany and will report to CEO Rene Schuster. Carbajo has been working for the Telefonica group since 1995. Lately, as director he was responsible for network technology at Telefonica. Prior to this, he was CTO of Telefonica Moviles in Mexico.
