Telefonica Germany brings in 3 new O2 My Data Spot subscriptions

Wednesday 14 August 2019 | 12:08 CET | News

Telefonica Germany said it is bringing in three new 'O2 My Data Spot' subscriptions for use with its O2 Homespot router on 27 August. Prices start from EUR 9.99 per week for 10 GB of internet service at up to 225 Mbps, attainable via its LTE network, under the Flex variant. Flex charges EUR 145 for the router but there is no minimum contract period as the service is pre-paid.

The second subscription is the standard one, simply called O2 My Data Spot. This costs EUR 29.99 monthly, whereas the Flex version is a weekly service. The standard one provides 100 GB per month and the minimum contract tie-up is 24 months. The router price is only EUR 25 with the standard version.

The third subscription is O2 My Data Spot Unlimited at EUR 39.99 monthly and the EUR 25 router fee. Again, a minimum contract period of two years applies. With the Unlimited version, customers have the option to bolt on O2 TV starting at EUR 4.99 per monthly.

Telefonica is offering bonuses for customers using several of its services. They can get 25 GB with O2 My Data Spot Flex instead of 10 GB weekly; those on the standard variant pay only EUR 19.99 monthly; and those on O2 My Data Spot Unlimited pay EUR 29.99 monthly.
