Telefonica Germany, DKJS launch 2nd Think Big program

Think Big, the long-term initiative by Telefonica Europe to support young people across the continent is set to repeat its successful first year in Germany with a new programme. Think Big 2011, developed by Telefonica Germany in collaboration with the German Children and Youth Foundation (DKJS), aims to support and foster young people in their immediate regional environment. A central role is played by the website at www.o2thinkbig.de, which acts as an application and interactive platform for people to get involved. By joining up with social networks, the participants can also involve their friends in the projects. Young people aged between 14 and 25 are invited to get involved in regional topics and projects: all they have to do is sign up at www.o2thinkbig.de and apply for support as part of Think Big: Hip Hop Battle, the legal Graffiti Wall or the Viral Spot on the environment and climate protection - provided that the idea advances the young people's neighbourhood, there are no bounds to their creativity. With the help of the DKJS and regional workshops, the company will approach potential participants in their surroundings, for example in youth centres, and encourage them to take part in the programme.
