Telefonica Germany signs contract with Berlin transport to expand LTE underground coverage

Friday 19 July 2019 | 10:06 CET | News
Telefonica's existing technical system will be expanded over the next two years to include the facilities of Telekom and Vodafone. The expansion takes place through the BTS hotels. These are centrally operating rooms that bundle all mobile communication systems in one place. From there, the mobile capacities are brought to the antennas via fibre to then distribute them in the surrounding tunnels and platforms.
