Telefonica Germany starts campaign against fake news ahead of general election

Telefonica Germany said it is starting a campaign against fake news for older people with the foundation Digital Opportunities. Older people, as other groups, are subject to disinformation online and the campaign comes ahead of the German federal election on 26 September. The company is providing an information package ranging from a checklist to expose false information, to explanatory videos. The fake news checklist and other links helps to assess whether a message is a hoax or trustworthy information.
