Telefonica Germany's household LTE coverage reaches 98% in 2020

Telefonica Germany said it has met the requirements of the Federal Network Agency, Bundesnetzagentur, to cover 98 percent of households with LTE service. This means that coverage was up 14 percentage points year-on-year in 2020. The company has expanded its network by installing 11,000 transmitters at mobile sites, including 7,200 transmitters at sites without 4G and 3,800 additional 4G transmitters for more capacity and higher surfing speeds.
